Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This policy covers the Beta Calendars extension for Google Chrome. It is separate from the privacy policy of this website. Questions: contact us or betacalendars@gmail.com.

Summary

The Beta Calendars extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or sensitive user data. It works entirely inside your browser and makes no network requests.

What the extension stores

Only your display preferences: the week start day, which holidays to show, whether week numbers are shown, whether the toolbar icon shows today’s date, and the default paper size. They are saved with Chrome’s storage API (chrome.storage.sync). If Chrome sync is turned on in your profile, Chrome syncs them to your other devices through your Google account; we cannot access them.

They stay until you change them. Removing the extension deletes them from your browser; copies synced to your Google account are handled by Chrome sync, and you can delete synced data in Chrome’s sync settings.

What the extension does not do

  • It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, tabs, cookies, forms or passwords, and it has no permission to do so.
  • It has no analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party code.
  • It does not load or run code from the internet.

Printing and PDFs

Calendars are drawn on your computer. “Print / Save PDF” opens Chrome’s own print dialog; the extension never sees where you print or save.

Links to betacalendars.com

The extension contains plain links to www.betacalendars.com. Nothing is sent when you view the calendar. If you click a link, the site opens in a new tab like any other website visit, and the website privacy policy applies to that visit.

Permissions

  • storage saves the preferences listed above.
  • alarms updates the toolbar icon to the new date at midnight.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and ships with an extension update.
